Don Rae Academy provides dance workshops, drama workshops, panto workshops and after-school clubs across the UK.
Our programmes give children opportunities to experience dance, drama and performance through practical activities led by experienced performing arts professionals.
Select a workshop type to see what children will do.
Our dance workshops introduce children to movement, rhythm, choreography and performance.
Participants can learn routines, explore different movements and develop coordination while working together.
Dance activities can encourage children to listen carefully, remember sequences and express themselves through movement.
The workshops are designed to be engaging and accessible, allowing children to participate regardless of previous dance experience.
Drama workshops introduce children to acting, storytelling, characterisation and improvisation.
Participants can explore characters, develop scenes, practise voice and movement and take part in creative drama exercises.
The practical format encourages communication, listening, imagination and teamwork.
Pantomime provides a lively and interactive introduction to theatre.
Our panto workshops can introduce children to characterisation, comedy, storytelling, audience interaction and performance.
Children can explore how performers use voice, movement, expression and timing to bring a story to life.
Don Rae Academy also provides after-school performing arts clubs.
These sessions give children an opportunity to continue exploring dance, drama and performance after the normal school day.
Depending on the programme, activities can include choreography, acting, movement, improvisation and creative performance.
Regular sessions allow children to practise skills and develop progressively.
Schools can also explore online video workshops as an alternative delivery format.
